PROGRAMMING
The Envoy LCD system installation process is fast and simple, with no need to
read a lengthy manual to program main system functions. The system is
shipped ready to install with a peel-off label, providing a quick reference guide
for 'Flash Programming’.
Advanced programming provides greater flexibility in security system
customization. System modifications can include changes to entry and exit
delay times, zone definitions, and the enabling and disabling of specific system
options.
You can program the Envoy LCD system using DSC's Windows® downloading
software (DLS-3). DLS-3 software enables direct system programming via a
locally connected personal computer or remote programming, using a dial-up
connection. DLS-3 software can also be used to view system status, trouble
conditions, and the system’s 128-event buffer.
FIXED MESSAGE LCD
Provides user with immediate
notification of system events,
troubles and real-time clock at
a glance.
SELF-POWERED PC-LINK
The self-powered PC-Link allows for direct-connect computer programming of
the NT9005 without the need for a modem. It also permits computer
programming of the NT9005 without having to connect AC power directly to the
unit. With PC-Link5SP, simply connect the PC-Link5SP PCB to the 5-pin header
on the back of the NT9005. This connection will power the unit and the DLS
session will automatically begin if you have selected an upload or a download.
This makes programming before the installation a snap.
SKYROUTE / LINKS2150 / LINKS2450 SUPPORT
The Skyroute wireless communication module ensures panel communication
even when the phone lines are down or cut. The NT9204 High Current
Output/Power Supply module is required in order to connect the Skyroute and
LINKS modules to the NT9005.
